District Guidelines for Graduation Attire, Honors & Recognition

Stoles:

  • All students will wear a school-issued stole as part of their graduation regalia package.

Cords:

  • Latin Honors: Students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (no rounding) by the end of Fall Semester (or Fall Quarter for RS students) will receive a single honor cord representing all Latin Honors.
  • Community Service: Students who have documented 100+ hours of community service through PTSA are eligible to wear a service cord.
  • Clubs and Activity Cords: To maintain equity, manage logistics, and ensure consistency across ISD, ASB clubs and activities are not permitted to purchase graduation cords.

Caps

  • Students may decorate their graduation caps, provided the decorations are school-appropriate.

Cultural Expression during Commencement Ceremonies

  • This ISD affirms our commitment to supporting and honoring the cultural expressions of students wearing traditional regalia and items of cultural significance during graduation ceremonies.

Recognition of Student Accomplishments

Certain student achievements will be acknowledged through events, publications and graduation regalia.
