Robotics Team Goes Global: Competing Against the World’s Best!
Our Issaquah High Robotics team: Multi-state Champions, World Championship competitors, and Award Winners!
Our Issaquah High School Robotics team competed in three season events, won the Pacific Northwest (covering WA, OR, AK) district championships, and competed in the FRC World Championship and took home the Quality Award in Houston last week against the top FIRST Robotics teams from around the world! Overall, at worlds, they made it to the finals of their field, ranked 4th headed into playoffs and made it to Round 4 in the playoffs!
- Won the Quality Award at the World Championships: Celebrates machine robustness in concept and fabrication.
- Won the PNW District Championship (covering WA, OR, AK)! Competed against 50 of the top teams from WA, OR, AK and placed 1st in the event with two other teams, as the winning alliance.
- Won the Engineering Inspiration award: Celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school or organization and community.
- Won the Team Sustainability award: Celebrates a team which has developed sustainable practices to have a positive environmental impact and achieve long-term continuity.
Although the competition season is over, they will still be working in the shop and preparing for local outreach - come see them at the Seattle Pride Parade, Salmon Days, and more!
