Issaquah Girls Cross Country Races to First State Title Since 2016

Podium with "State Champions" sign

Issy XC competed at the WIAA state championship. Our girls team brought home the win in the 4A division, winning by a margin of 15 points over Olympia HS (100-115). Quah girls were led by freshman Emma Wurster (all-state honors) and junior Sally Davis (all-state honors). Our girls came in ranked third in the state, and this was one of the deepest team competitions that the 4A girls have seen. This is also the first win for our girls since 2016, and after we have finished team runners-up the last 3 seasons. This was an amazing way to cap off an amazing XC season where we supported 120+ athletes to many great team moments and personal bests! Fly Eagles, fly!
