A Packed Convention Center and a Big Day for IHS DECA

430 IHS students went to the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue to compete against 2,000+ students from around the area.
We had another record year, with 120 students qualifying for the State competition (a school record) and 148 students recognized as “Finalists,” or top competitors. That number matches our school’s previous best.
Further, one of our students, Riya Jonnala, led the competition as the Area 4 President, an honor she was selected for last year. She did a great job running the ceremonies.
It was an incredible day that led to a lot of growth for so many students!
