This year, there are 3 short plays completely written, directed, and produced by Issaquah High School Students:
In The Stars
Written by Hayley Koo and directed by Reagan Magee, In the Stars is a heartfelt drama about dealing with the stages of grief as a modern teenager, and creatively incorporates ASL elements developed in partnership with Ms. Friedli.
Old Flames
Written by Ruby Stojanoff and directed by Elliot Stevens, this compelling western investigates the lives of two cowboys who end up sharing a fire for the night as they search for new beginnings and try to forget old misfortunes.
2ylvester 2teel 2: 2 Steel 2 Sylvester: Back Cat it Again: Meow and Forever: the Steelquel
Written and directed by Cassidy Hoffman, 222 continues the story of one of LAST year’s One-Acts, reviving the memorable (and adorably ridiculous) character of Sylvester Steel- a Kansas City Police Officer who thinks he’s a cat- while adding clever commentary about the obsessive world of modern fandom and greedy corporate overlords.
