Stay Safe While Riding E-Bikes!
As the popularity of e-bikes continues to grow among our students, we want to ensure that everyone remains safe while enjoying their rides. E-bikes are a fun and eco-friendly way to get to school, but it’s important to remember that safety comes first!
Here are some important safety tips for riding e-bikes:
- Wear a Helmet: Always wear a properly fitted helmet to protect yourself in case of an accident. Safety gear saves lives!
- Obey Traffic Laws: E-bikes must follow the same rules as regular bicycles. Stop at red lights, use hand signals, and yield to pedestrians.
- Be Visible: Make sure your e-bike has reflectors or lights, especially if you’re riding early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
- Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like phones or headphones while riding. Keep your eyes on the road and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
- Ride at Safe Speeds: E-bikes can go faster than regular bikes, so be mindful of your speed, especially in school zones and near pedestrians.
- Park Responsibly: Always park your e-bike in designated areas to avoid blocking sidewalks or creating hazards for others.
Let’s all do our part to keep our students and community safe. Whether you’re riding an e-bike to school or around town, remember to be responsible and cautious!
Stay safe and ride smart!
