Parking E-News & Reminders
Parking Pass Application Reminders
Parking pass applications are due digitally by 5pm on Friday, August 30th.
We have a limited number of parking spaces to accommodate students that drive to school. In order to maximize the number of students able to park on campus, applications and parking spaces are prioritized in the following order:
1) Carpools (2 or more licensed drivers riding together who attend classes at Issaquah High School)
2) Individual Seniors
3) Individual Juniors
4) Individual Sophomores (If spaces are available) - Note: Individual Sophomores rarely receive parking passes
Please note: Communication in past years stated that Running Start students ranked below juniors. Running Start students have their own parking lot and are ranked in class order with seniors given priority.
To obtain a parking pass:
1. There is a different application for full time individual drivers, running start students, and carpools. All applications are due digitally by 5pm on Friday, August 30th.
i.Individual Driver Application
2. On September 3rd, a list will be posted in the commons identifying students granted a parking pass based on the priority criteria listed above.
a. Once students are allocated a pass, students need to present their license to Mr. Gardiner, who will have a table stationed in the commons. Mr. Gardiner will confirm that students are attending classes at IHS, listed their appropriate grade level, and have a valid driver’s license.
b. Carpools need at least 2 of their members cleared to pick up their carpool pass.
3. Once cleared by Mr. Gardiner, students will have until 3pm on September 13th to pay the $140 fee to the school bookkeeper and receive their parking pass. Students who do not pay this fee prior to this deadline will forfeit their parking pass.
4. All parking pass applicants must be up to date on High School Xello Core Lessons in order to participate in the parking lottery.
