June Counselor Corner & Summer Lunch Program
June Counselor Corner
🌞 June 2025
June Hot Take: June isn’t the end — it’s your victory lap. 🔥
You might be counting down the days to summer (same!), but here’s something most people overlook June is your moment to shine. It’s not just about wrapping things up — it’s about how you do it.
This is your chance to:
✨ Show yourself how far you’ve come
✨ Communicate with and get help from your teachers for that last push
✨ Lift your grade just a little higher — yes, it can still move!
✨ Celebrate the small wins: finishing that tough class, showing up every day, turning in work on time
✨ Leave a positive impression — those recommendations don’t write themselves 😉
And here’s the best part: ending strong feels good. There’s something powerful about walking into summer knowing you gave it your all, even in the final stretch. Finish with confidence. You’ve earned it.
Proud of you — always.

The Summer School website can be found here with important dates, courses available, registration, tuition costs and scholarship information. https://www.isd411.org/programs-services/summer-school For students that earned a F in a class they need for graduation this school year or in past school years, in person summer school is recommend for on-track graduation. For students that have a D in a class needed for graduation in Quarter 3, we recommend communicating directly with the teacher to work with them to help your student bring up their grade and be able to determine if summer school will be needed for the course. In person summer school registration is due June 27th at 3pm.
Attendance during finals week: Please know that attendance through the end of the school year, June 24th, is mandatory. Students who may have planned absences must work with their teachers regarding how they will access their final assessment(s), if given by the teacher. Not all classes will have a final test. Final assessments can look like end of semester projects or presentations, or an exam. For classes that have exams, the final exam may be mandatory or an optional exam provided as an opportunity to improve your final grade or access a recovery option. However, teachers may use the end of year finals schedule and time is different from class to class. For any students who will miss any of the last days of school, you must individually talk to teachers about how to complete work or tests prior to the end of the school year. Work or tests are not available for submission or completion past the last day of school. Students can communicate with their teachers in class, during Flex on Wednesdays, over email and in Canvas.
