Earn College and High School Credits Through CTE Dual Credit
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Dual Credit is a course-based Dual Credit option where college credit is earned by taking CTE classes at the high school or through WANIC. Students can earn high school and college credit at the same time.
College credit is not awarded automatically. To get these credits on a college transcript, there is a process to follow, and it includes a nominal fee. The process depends on which local college you want your college credits to transcribe to.
Learn more about CTE Dual Credit:
· Visit the CTE website for a list of every ISD CTE Dual Credit course and its local college articulations.
· Dual Credit is awarded through the PNW College Credit Consortium (Bellevue College, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and Edmonds College) and Renton Technical College. You can check out their websites for more information.
· PNW College Credit Consortium: Registration and payment for eligible courses taken this school year closes June 15, 2025.
· RTC: Registration & payment for eligible courses taken throughout high school must be completed within two years of graduating high school.
· Note: CTE Dual Credit earned through eligible courses will be transcribed to the college(s) you choose within the agreement (Bellevue College/LWTech/Edmonds College OR Renton Technical College). To review credit transfer policies, check with the college or university credit would be transferred to.
· Contact CCC if you have any questions about CTE Dual Credit.
