On December 3rd during homeroom, an SEL lesson centered around suicide prevention will be presented to students. The goal of this lesson is to offer an overview of supports and resources that are available to students to help themselves and peers, who may be struggling with thoughts of self-harm and know who to contact and reach out to when additional support is needed. We want to ensure through this SEL lesson, that students have been presented with important information in a supportive environment. This is a complex topic, and multiple angles of support are needed. Counseling teams will be available to provide additional support to students as additional support is needed. If you would like to have your student opt out of the presentation, please contact their administrator. Students who opt out will not be asked to review the lesson on Canvas during Homeroom.
