First Day of School Information

message from...

Hello Issaquah High School Students and Families

We are excited to see you back on campus at Issaquah High school! Below you’ll find a few reminders to help make sure your first day of school is as successful as possible:

  • First Day of School Schedule
    • On the first day of school each year we follow a modified school schedule in order to give time to welcome all our new students, tour the building, answer questions and build community together that will prepare them for success as we begin the school year and continue learning throughout the year. This time is led by our group of student mentors called Eagle Crew for our incoming 9th grade students and our incoming 10th-12th grade students will be hosted by student leaders from our Associated Student Body to help with a successful transition and start to the year at Issaquah High School. The morning will start for all our new students together at the regular start time of 8:00 a.m. and this orientation will continue throughout the morning until 10:30 a.m. when lunch will be served. After our orientation and lunch, students will follow their regular class schedules beginning with their 1st period classes at 11:20 a.m. The detailed bell schedule can be found on the Issaquah High School website.
  • Student Schedules
    • Student schedules are available in Skyward.  We encourage students and families to access their schedule prior to arriving on campus by logging into Student Access.
  • Lunch
    • Student lunches are tied to their 4th period classes (on every day except block Tuesday).  Students with periods 4A listed have 1st lunch and students with 4B listed on their schedule have 2nd lunch.
  • Help Around Campus
    • Staff and some of our Eagle Crew students will be stationed around campus to help students navigate moving between classes.
  • Where to Find More Information
    • The Issaquah High School website is the best place to get information related to what is happening at our school. Additionally, we encourage you to sign up for the Weekly Bulletin for regular updates about what is happening on campus. You can also follow us on Instagram @issaquahhighschool.

We are looking forward to a great year and look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
